This Southern Girl has truly started to get her feet wet or should that be frozen? Either way, what I’m trying to say is the adventures are certainly beginning to roll in in 2017.
I can’t believe I’ve found myself up in the mountains! What a day?! What a beautiful and refreshing day.
I was able to go for a day trip up to The Summit in Snoqualmie Pass, Washington. I went with a couple of ski instructors so I was able to spend the day hoping around from mountain to mountain.
There’s a certain energy there that I can’t explain. People push themselves both physically and mentally never truly realizing how much they’ve actually stretched themselves until they get home and feel their muscles ache. I’ve never ached so go in my life.
“The air that you breathe in the mountains is like none other. Being surrounded by snow for miles and miles to see is a dream.”
Like any other sporting activity or event, I really enjoyed all of the “other stuff” that came along with being at the resort. From being able to wear the cute gear, to drinking hot chocolate by the fireplace to hanging out in the bar while looking out onto the slopes.
I look forward to learning more about skiing and the culture. I totally understand how people can spend most of their winter weekends in up the mountains. Good times to be had by all young and old.
